Preserving Italian Heritage
This comprehensive documentation project for FAI (Fondo per l'Ambiente Italiano) captures the opening of two significant new heritage routes in Tuscany. The photography showcases the restoration and public accessibility of two remarkable historic properties: Palazzo De Larderel in Livorno and Villa Vittoria in Florence.
Working with Italy's leading heritage conservation organization, this project documents not just architectural beauty, but the careful preservation work that makes these historic spaces accessible to the public. Each image tells the story of cultural heritage brought back to life through dedicated conservation efforts.
Two Historic Venues
Palazzo De Larderel, Livorno - A testament to 19th-century industrial prosperity and architectural elegance, now opened as a cultural heritage site showcasing the maritime history of Tuscany.
Villa Vittoria, Florence - A magnificent villa representing the refined taste of Florentine nobility, restored to demonstrate the intersection of private aristocratic life and public cultural heritage.
Documentation Approach
The photography captures both the grandeur of these restored spaces and the intimate details that reveal their historical significance. From architectural elements to period furnishings, each image contributes to a comprehensive visual record that serves both documentation and promotion of Italy's cultural heritage preservation efforts.
